The Jones Act and the Longshore Act (USL&H) are a maritime version of workers’ comp and were both created to protect maritime workers when injured. Each act focuses on a different group of people.

The Jones Act was enacted to ensure that U.S. seamen would be protected and provided for if injuries occur. Jones Act Insurance protects you from possible liability if a crew member under your employment is injured while on the job.
